Daughtry-Spaceship

Hood of my car
Radio's just loud enough so I can hear Levon
Where you are is anybody's guess but mine
Just a song that we grew up on
Constellations seem so outta line
But I'm wishing we could make it this time

If somebody's out there
Show me that you care
Give me a sign that comes outta nowhere
Like a shooting star
Or maybe life on Mars
Something inside tells me
we can't be too far 'cause
I can see me on a spaceship leaving here only to find
that we're not the only ones

We're not the only ones

Call me a fool for
Daydreaming in the dark and
Throwing bottles at the moon
Why you're gone is Nobody's Fault But Mine
Another song that we grew up on
Can anybody tell me where I can find
That girl I can't get out of my mind

If somebody's out there
Show me that you care
Give me a sign that comes outta nowhere
Like a shooting star
Or maybe life on Mars
Something inside tells me
we can't be too far 'cause
I can see me on a spaceship leaving here only to find
that we're not the only ones

Looking for love and
Looking for something more
When it's not enough
We gotta stay above the clouds
'Cause with our feet both on the ground
We'll never learn

I can see me on a spaceship leaving here only to find
that we're not the only ones

Somebody's out there
Show me that you care
Give me a sign that comes outta nowhere
Like a shooting star
Maybe life on Mars
Something inside tells me
We can't be too far 'cause

I can see me on a spaceship leaving
Come see for yourself if you don't believe me
Together we will find that we're not the only ones

We're not the only ones

Driving Test on the Way!

Whoa, Driving examinations! My parking skills are still way below par! My driving test will be on 29 February, and that made me feel both excited yet afraid. Excited-because I am to get my "P" driving licence if I pass the driving test; Afraid-what if luck is not on my side and actually FAILED the driving test? RM100++ will fly off my parents' pockets!

I always imagine-or, should I say, DREAM? I mean, I have a host of things to do if I can drive!

  • Fetch my sister to school! (Oh, yeah, I hope my sister won't get shocked because I drive pretty fast! Or, wake her up from slumber in the car...)
  • Take my friends to eat during SPM result release day!
  • Take my mom to the market (and lose a tire at the sharp corner... )
  • Look for a part-time job!
  • Drive to Taiping Lakegarden! (For exercise...)

What else?

I don't know. For now, the last effort that I can do is to pray hard and practise driving every evening (and leave my dad light-headed and infuriated...!!!)

Wish me luck...

David Archuleta-Stomping the Roses

Wasting time
Just going mindless
Watching your charades
When you were younger
Did it occur to you
Ten years from then
You'd act the same age?

I cannot carry on this way,
Although Ive carried all your every little thing
Carry me away

Did you feel like stomping the roses?
Smashing out all the feeling inside of them
It's bad business
The way you're stomping the roses

I was flippin' channels on my television
And it made me feel unwell
One of those complicated soap operas
I almost felt like I was watching myself

I cannot carry on this way,
Although Ive carried all your every little thing
Carry me away

Did you feel like stomping the roses?
Smashing out all the feeling inside of them
It's bad business
The way you're stomping the roses
Everyone knows it

I know I know I know I know it's over
and I know I know I know I've
Always been your token nice guy
You know that you rule your whole world
And thought I could live in it
But I just can't..

You know you stomping the roses?
Smashing out all the feeling inside of them
It's bad business
The way you're stomping the roses
Everyone knows it

Stomping the roses
Smashing out all the feeling inside of them
It's bad business
The way you're stomping the roses

(ooooh...)
(Stomping.. oh stomping yeah..)
(Oh oh hoo yeaah..)
(Take it easy, Ye..eah)

Kelly Clarkson-Mr Know It All

Mr. Know It All
Well you you think you know it all
But you don't know a thing at all ain't it
Ain't it something y'all
When somebody tells you something about you
Think that they know you more than you do
So you take it down, another pill to swallow

Mr. Bring Me Down
Well you like to bring me down, don't you
But I ain't laying down
Baby I ain't going down
Can't nobody tell me how it's gonna be
Nobody's gonna make a fool out of me
Baby you should know that I lead not follow

(Chorus)
Oh you think that you know me, know me
that's why I'm leaving you lonely, lonely
'Cause baby you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me

You ain't got the right to tell me
When and where to go, no right to tell me
Acting like you own me lately
Yeah baby you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me

Mr. Play Your Games
Only got yourself to blame
When you want me back again
But I ain't falling back again
'Cause I'm living my truth without your lies
Let's be clear baby, this is goodbye
I ain't comin' back tomorrow

(Chorus)
Oh you think that you know me, know me
that's why I'm leaving you lonely, lonley
'Cause baby you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me

You ain't got the right to tell me
When and where, no right to tell me
Acting like you own me lately
Yeah baby you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me

So what you've got the world at your feet
And you know everything about everything
But you don't
You still think I'm coming back but baby you'll see

(Chorus)
Oh you think that you know me, know me
that's why I'm leaving you lonely, lonely
'Cause baby you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me

You ain't got the right to tell me
When and where, no right to tell me
Acting like you own me lately
Yeah baby you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me

Mr. Know It All
Well you you think you know it all
But you don't know a thing at all
Yeah baby you don't know a thing about me
You don't know a thing about me

Kelly clarkson-Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)

You know the bed feels warmer
Sleeping here alone
You know I dream in colour
And do the things I want
You think you got the best of me
Think you had the last laugh
Bet you think that everything good is gone
Think you left me broken down
Think that I'd come running back
Baby you don't know me, cause you're dead wrong
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
What doesn't kill you makes a fighter
Footsteps even lighter
Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger
Just me, myself and I
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
You heard that I was starting over with someone new
They told you I was moving on over you
You didn't think that I'd come back
I'd come back swinging
You tried to break me, but you see
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
What doesn't kill you makes a fighter
Footsteps even lighter
Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger
Just me, myself and I
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
Thanks to you I got a new thing started
Thanks to you I'm not the broken hearted
Thanks to you I'm finally thinking bout me
You know in the end the day you left was just my beginning
In the end...
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
What doesn't kill you makes a fighter
Footsteps even lighter
Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger
Just me, myself and I
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone

Work... Again...

I am still feeling weird and lost. When is my driving examination? Now that February is coming to an end, and the dreaded SPM results are just a month away! (I think I had repeated it uncountable times...)

I was informed that there were too many people are in the wait for the driving examination this month. Maybe,  my turn will be on March? DARN IT! Campus life will be frighteningly near, and will I manage to get a part time job prior to admittance into matriculation/university/Form 6? I want a part time job, mainly for experience in the workplace, that's all. Legal jobs, okay? (Maybe a clerk or a shop assistant or a waitress or a cashier? I don't know)

Why is that my post entitled "Work... Again..."? Oh yes, my "part time jobs", remember? Frankly, I am sort of got out of the wrong side of bed today, 5.15 am with a BAD BACKACHE AND SHOULDER PAINS! Why all these befall on me? Why that damn backache has haunted me for the past seven years? It is because of you, I can no longer sit still and carry really heavy things anymore, and had to drink hot ginger soup every now and then. Stupid.

Do i need that walking stick one day before I reach even 30? Please, God please say NO!
(Eh, what the hell I am writing right now? From SPM to backache... Hish... Go back! Back to the point, silly me!)

Early in the morning, the homemaking business was as usual. Cleaning the cups, wiping the dish racks... Of course, a highly calorie-packed breakfast to begin the day (which I do not like, but I was too lazy to cook oats!) Sweeping the floor with a backache, it took me more than an hour to clean up the house, which I usually take half an hour for the task. Next comes the work on joss papers, which all I could say, is just as cutting down the Himalaya Mountain bit by bit. I was fidgeting whatever work to do around the house, since it was still dawn. I do not want to get "kissed" by the annoying mosquitoes and have rats scurrying into my home.

Thus, there went the joss papers, leaf by leaf. The strong smell of sandalwood rose and diffused around the house. Of course, it annoyed my mom in the kitchen, because the windows were not open. . She even threatened to return back all those 4000 joss papers and that I am not to carry out any work associated with joss papers again! Sigh...

Actually, those joss paper job is back-breaking you know???!!! However, I am happy to burn holes on the joss papers, even at a very slow pace... Okay, there I am, seated well near the table, accompanied by joss papers and stale air.

It was the mee koo job later on. loads of mee koo doughs were there, well mixed by my mighty mom, and waiting for me the dummy to knead them into buns.

Yes, I like to help in making mee koo, but obviously I prefer EATING them with butter. One of my breakfast favourite! (Ignore my childish drawing though...)

The kneading process was easy. Oh well, it SOUNDED easy. I had to weigh every dough, making sure that they were 120grams each. Next, I had to pull the dough front to back using alternate hands. (Ala granny's way of washing clothes. )Repeat. Pull the dough front to back and then shape them into balls. Leave the lest to mom. XD

Considering my height (around 171cm, just average) and that of the table's, I might as well as do the squats while kneading the mee koo dough as well. It strengthens calf muscles and save me from backache. Good idea right?

my backache may be over, but as I am now typing this, I felt an intense pain searing through my right hand! Ouch! i guess it is time for mee koos again...

Part Time Job! (Part 2)

http://sharonnghy94.blogspot.com/2012/02/part-time-job.html

I am back to work again! Once again, it is all about joss papers. Previously, I have mentioned that I folded paper lotus. (Refer the link above)

There were more than 100 lotuses but that amount was unable to meet the huge demands of the temple. Whoa, there must be devotees pouring-no, but FLOODING into the temple-all the time! Yet, I am no longer folding lotuses already.

Now, it is the joss paper business again, but this time, it is meant for folding Hell bank notes, known as "Ong Seng Chee" in the Hokkien dialect.

I have to make little holes on specific designs on the paper using a lighted joss stick whie chanting "Namo Amitabha" at the same time. Later, I had to stack ten papers and fold them together. No paper with even the slightest tear is allowed. As for the wage, it is RM12 for 1000 papers.

To be honest, it is back-breaking and tiring. I managed only 100 papers per hour. Worst of all, I even burnt my right thumb in the process.

Yet, I will never give up on this job, whilst waiting for the upcoming QTI and driving test at the same time.

Miley Cyrus - When I Look At You

Everybody needs inspiration
Everybody needs a song
A beautiful melody when the night's so long
'Cause there is no guarantee that this life is easy

Yeah, when my world is falling apart
When there's no light to break up the dark
That's when I, I, I look at you

When the waves are flooding the shore
And I can't find my way home anymore
That's when I, I, I look at you

When I look at you, I see forgiveness, I see the truth
You love me for who I am like the stars hold the moon
Right there where they belong
And I know I'm not alone

Yeah, when my world is falling apart
When there's no light to break up the dark
That's when I, I, I look at you

When the waves are flooding the shore
And I can't find my way home anymore
That's when I, I, I look at you

You appear just like a dream to me
Just like kaleidoscope colors that prove to me
All I need, every breath that I breathe
Don't ya know, you're beautiful

Yeah, yeah

When the waves are flooding the shore
And I can't find my way home anymore
That's when I, I, I look at you
I look at you

Yeah, yeah, oh, oh
You appear just like a dream to me

David Archuleta-Parachutes and Airplanes

There's something crazy about this day
Like I'm walking on a trampoline
I couldn't get much higher

So if I ask you, would you stay
'Cause you remind me of a
Ballerina dancing on a wire

And I don't ever want to say goodbye
I just want to steal this moment
Right away from time

What do you say when you can't look down?
When you feel like you're ten feet off the ground
What do you do when you're on the edge?
Now you're here and you got me thinking 'bout

Parachutes and airplanes
Thinking about
Parachutes and airplanes
We'll never hit the ground, ground, ground, ground

The world's a thousand shades of blue
Like we're here in the kaleidoscope
Don't want it to be over

But everything that's in my mind
Is here right in front of my eyes
And you're the one who got me here

And I don't ever want to say goodbye
I just want to steal this moment
Right away from time

What do you say when you can't look down?
When you feel like you're ten feet off the ground
What do you do when you're on the edge?
Now you're here and you got me thinking 'bout

Parachutes and airplanes
Thinking about
Parachutes and airplanes
We'll never hit the ground

'Cause life gets hard sometimes
And I just need a place to get away
So turn the world around, I'm never coming down
'Cause I don't ever wanna hit the, wanna hit the ground

Ground, ground
I don't wanna hit the ground
I don't wanna hit the ground

What do you say when you can't look down?
When you feel like you're ten feet off the ground
What do you do when you're on the edge?
Now you're here and you got me thinking 'bout

Parachutes and airplanes
Thinking about
Parachutes and airplanes
Yeah, yeah

What do you say when you can't look down?
When you feel like you're ten feet off the ground
What do you do when you're on the edge?
Now you're here and you got me thinking 'bout

Parachutes and airplanes
Thinking about
Parachutes and airplanes
We'll never hit the ground, ground, ground, ground
Never hit the ground, ground, ground, ground

David Archuleta-My Kind of Perfect

I was thinking about ya
I drew a little picture
But some things you can't put on paper
Like ya like shooting stars
Or write songs on guitar
Got more things to do than stare at a mirror

And I know, I know
She's gotta be out there, out there
I know, I know, she's gotta be

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right
Maybe I just let you walk by
What can I say
Maybe I've known you all my life
Is she the one, is it today
Will I turn the corner, see my future
In a beautiful face
Maybe

She's anything but typical
A sweet surprise
No matter what she's looking at the bright side
It's gonna be worth it
'cos that's what love is
I'll keep searching for my kind of perfect

And I know, I know,
She's gotta be out there, out there
I know, I know, she's gotta be
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/d/david-archuleta-lyrics/my-kind-of-perfect-lyrics.html ]

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right
Maybe I just let you walk by
What can I say, maybe I've known you all my life
Is she the one, is it today
Will I turn the corner, see my future, in a beautiful face
Maybe

They say, give it time
Give it time and it will fall in line
But I, keep wondering how and when and why I haven't met you

But maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right
Is she the one, is it today
Will I turn the corner, see my future, in a beautiful face

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right
Maybe I just let you walk by
What can I say, maybe i've known you all my life
Is she the one, is it today
Will I turn the corner, see my future, in a beautiful face
Maybe
Ohhhh, maybe, yeah

I'll keep searching for my kind of perfect

The Pretty Reckless-You

I think this song is beautiful and melodious. However, I suggest you guys to better listen to the song rather than looking at the lyrics. The lyrics are just repetitive! >< !!! If you opt to just listen to the music, then fine. :D

You don't want me, no
You don't need me
Like I want you, oh
Like I need you

And I want you in my life
And I need you in my life

You can't see me, no
Like I see you
I can't have you, no

Like you have me

And I want you in my life
And I need you in my life

You can't feel me, no
Like I feel you
I can't steal you, no
Like you stole me

And I want you in my life
And I need you in my life

Miley Cyrus ft Johnzo West-You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go

Okay, I do not listen to Miley Cyrus much (I prefer her Hannah Montana persona) but I recently found this song on Youtube, "You're Gonna Make Me lonesome When You Go". This song is, to me, extremely beautiful and heart-warming. Thus, if you are in a mood for a meaningful ballad, this song is for you! (I dislike her dance-pop songs like "Can't Be Tamed", though. I prefer her ballads.)

I've seen love go by my door
It's never been this close before
Never been so easy or so slow
Been shooting in the dark too long
When somethin's not right it's wrong
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go

Dragon clouds so high above
I've only known careless love
It's always hit me from below
This time around it's more correct
Right on target, so direct
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go

Purple clover, Queen Anne's Lace
Crimson hair across your face
You could make me cry if you don't know
Can't remember what I was thinkin' of
You might be spoilin' me too much, love
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go

Flowers on the hillside, bloomin' crazy
Crickets talkin' back and forth in rhyme
Blue river runnin' slow and lazy
I could stay with you forever and never realize the time

Situations have ended sad
Relationships have all been bad
Mine've been like Verlaine's and Rimbaud
But there's no way I can compare
All those scenes to this affair
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go

Yer gonna make me wonder what I'm doin'
Stayin' far behind without you
Yer gonna make me wonder what I'm sayin'
Yer gonna make me give myself a good talkin' to

I'll look for you in old Honolulu
San Francisco, Ashtabula
Yer gonna have to leave me now, I know
But I'll see you in the sky above
In the tall grass, in the ones I love
Yer gonna make me lonesome when you go

Taylor Swift-If This Was a Movie

Last night I heard my own heart beating
Sounded like footsteps on my stairs
Six months gone and I'm still reaching
Even though I know you're not there

I was playing back a thousand memories, baby
Thinkin' 'bout everythin' we've been through
Maybe I've been goin' back too much lately
When time stood still and I had you

Come back, come back, come back to me like
You would, you would if this was a movie
Stand in the rain outside
'Til I came out

Come back, come back, come back to me like
You could, you could if you just said you're sorry
I know that we could work it out somehow
But if this was a movie you'd be here by now

I know people change and these things happen
But I remember how it was back then
Locked up in your arms and our friends were laughing
'Cause nothing like this ever happened to them

Now, I'm pacing down the hall, chasing down your street
Flashback to the night when you said to me
"Nothing's gonna change, not for me and you "
Not before I knew how much I had to lose

Come back, come back, come back to me like
You would, you would if this was a movie
Stand in the rain outside
'Til I came out

Come back, come back, come back to me like
You could, you could if you just said you're sorry
I know that we could work it out somehow
But if this was a movie you'd be here by now

If you're out there, if you're somewhere, if you're moving on
I've be waiting for you ever since you've been gone
I just want it back the way it was before
And I just wanna see you back at my front door

And I say come back, come back, come back to me like
You would before you said it's not that easy
Before the fight, before I locked you out
But I'd take it all back now

Come back, come back, come back to me like
You would, you would if this was a movie
Stand in the rain outside
'Til I came out

Come back, come back, come back to me like
You could, you could if you just said sorry
I know that we could work it out somehow
But if this was a movie you'd be here by now

You'd be here by now
It's not the kind of ending you wanna see now
Baby, what about the ending?
Oh, I thought you'd be here by now

That you'd be here by now

Taylor Swift-Ours

Elevator buttons and morning air
Stranger's silence makes me wanna take the stairs
If you were here, we'd laugh about their vacant stares
But right now, my time is theirs

Seems like there's always someone who disapproves
They'll judge it like they know about me and you
And the verdict comes from those with nothing else to do
The jury's out, but my choice is you

So don't you worry your pretty little mind
People throw rocks at things that shine
And life makes love look hard
The stakes are high, the water's rough, but this love is ours

You never know what people have up their sleeves
Ghosts from your past gonna jump out at me
Lurking in the shadows with their lip gloss smiles
But I don't care 'cause right now you're mine

And you'll say don't you worry your pretty little mind
People throw rocks at things that shine
And life makes love look hard
The stakes are high, the water's rough, but this love is ours

And it's not theirs to speculate if it's wrong and
Your hands are tough but they are where mine belong in
I'll fight their doubt and give you faith with this song for you

'Cause I love the gap between your teeth
And I love the riddles that you speak
And any snide remarks from my father about your tattoos will be ignored
'Cause my heart is yours

So don't you worry your pretty little mind
People throw rocks at things that shine
And life makes love look hard

And don't you worry your pretty little mind
People throw rocks at things that shine
But they can't take what's ours, they can't take what's ours
The stakes are high, the water's rough, but this love is ours

Oh my God, how dare you steal my sandals worth RM1000?

(Chorus: Are you sure that your sandals are THAT costly?)

Ha ha ha ha, in truth, the sandals cost me 1000 cents. HA HA HA!

My family was about to pray the God (Pai ti gong) and I put these sandals away in the shoe rack. I was lucky, DAMN lucky. For the next day and the days thereafter, my sandals disappeared, as if they had vanished into thin air.

My family and friends know my recklessness and clumsiness too well. In fact, I tend to put my stuffs anywhere, and my room was not at the least neat. However, I am 100% SURE that my sandals are in the rack. How? HOW???!!!

I rummaged every single corner around the house. Oh great, the sandals were GONE! I am sure that someone must have stole my sandals whilst we were away.

I was stupefied and perplexed. A pair of sandals which is available merely by using a red Ringgit bill (obviously RM10) and in the ever-crowded morning market, can make a person see red? Whoa. I guess it must be another guy who wanted to look for a Valentine's gift the easy way out. My sandals are nowhere runway-ready, but at least they were practical. Yet, they were large (My shoe size is NINE for your information), and was he certain that his girl could wear it? I don't know about this then. (I was just doing some blind-guessing and crapping, yeah!)

Aye, I might as well as regard this case as shoe donation. Not again!

A Car-tening Day. (Part 2)

16 February 2012.

Vroom! Vroom!

The sun was still deep in slumber beyond the golden horizons. It was somewhere around seven o' clock in the morning. The murky azure of midnight still draped across the atmosphere above the Rain Town (That's MY hometown, Taiping! It rains almost daily, hence its name)

On the way to the driving school, uncle kept telling me this and that about the road. How many people got run over by vehicles, his late-grandson's accident cases, bla bla bla. As usual, cars dashed across the roads in a flash!

"他妈的混帐他!就是这样啦,这么多车祸!拿了Lesen就乱乱来!"

He's swearing (and he swears like that along the way whenever cars dash across)

Driving, again! Nah, another day of madness, another day of frustration, another day of bliss (for being able to drive on the ROAD). There I was, at the large driving school, waiting for driving lessons while my driving instructor (to make things simple, I'll call him Uncle throughout the whole post) when, most of my peers are still deep in slumber (I bet, because we are students no more-at least for three months!)

It was the matter of slopes and parking the entire morning. Of course, uncle chided me for going up the slope too quickly at first. Going up the slope, Stop at the yellow line (slightly after the first pole but before the second pole), pull the hand brake twice, check the tyre, raise my hand. Coming down the slope: press the "oil" and raise the hand brake after releasing the clutch enough, then descend the slope. Easy, right?

Yes, it SOUNDS easy.

I did not go straight down the slope before reaching the poles (In Malaysia, we call reverse as Gostan. Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Hindustan (movie), and now another term: GOSTAN. Okay, you get it now. Nevertheless, I always manage to get it way ahead of the yellow line before stopping, and as a result, Uncle "chap liam" at me...!!! ("Chap Liam" means "nagging" in Hokkien-imagine Grandmothers! ) Otherwise, I would have stopped too early, and down went the car.

"Release the clutch! Brake slowly, and let the car down! Okay, start AGAIN!!!"

Anyway, the slope is far from a big deal. Well, at least, I can go up the slope steadily and safely, and there are not too many "Gostan" which occurred. Okay? Okay. Deal.

Now, the slope stuff is done. Parking-THAT was the ultimate problem! Despite having many poles as reference, I was somehow confused-no, but 100% ALWAYS confused! When to turn right, when to turn left, how many turns... Uncle even told me to look at the mirror as reference! What mirror? Triangle mirror or side mirror? My goodness... There was even a time in which I was to reverse with two turns of the steering to the right and see if the pole was in view, half of the left mirror, and later turn the steering right completely. I ran into the poles just like that. Worse of all, it was drizzling.

Obviously, I got chided.

In whichever and whatever way either, I often failed to get the vehicle right during parking. Now that QTI is around the corner, I often found myself driving with bated breath and shaky hands. Cannot get the parking right again during the actual driving examination and I will fail. that simply means, forking out extra Ringgits and get my Driving Licence late. HELP!

I really hope that I soon understand the parking basics. Driving up the slope is okay, driving on the roads is no big deal (But those with heart attack or are elderly, don't take a ride from me yeah. No insurance!), but parking-that's the deal.

Thus, that was my one-hour-and-half morning session of driving, speeding (if I get naughty, but don't worry, the cars at the driving school are annoyingly slow and rickety, so I can go only as fast as a snail anyway...), bumping (on the disgusting speed breakers on the road) and frustration. That was not the end.

The noon was blazing hot. Uncle called me to go to the driving school again. WHAT? oh my darn goodness. Parking again? Apparently, it was for half an hour.

"Sharon, wait there (Waiting place), okay?"

So I wait. No, I did not learn driving for half-an-hour, but I actually WAITED like a fool impatiently for half an hour. Until Uncle Woon called out my name, the wait has finally ended! Yes, it was my long-awaited QTI. Test drive! Hallelujah~!!!

I was to drive road F. Ha ha. By far, the easiest road to drive among three planned routes, because I just need to drive around Taiping Lake garden. It is just that the cars that dashed out of nowhere that left me frightened. thus, slowly I began driving-in a rickety manner. Kriak... Kriak... Kriak... Yes, I am not joking. That is how the car sounds. Almost with no guidance, I somehow managed to drive safely. Praise the GOD!

Two more hours to go, and I am all set to the Driving Examination. Wait, am I really all SET? I don't think so. All I have to do is drive extra slowly, clearing out some brain space to remember the parking stuffs, and pray for myself.

Amitabha please save ME!!!

A Car-tening Day.

"Sharon, do you want to go driving?"

That was my dad. Whoa, driving early in the morning? I usually drive in the evening, ehem, actually, I am LEARNING to drive. I am still under driving courses.

Thus, off the rickety, ancient car went. "Vroom!" (Yes, that is what happened when I start to drive. I am TERRIBLE at controlling clutches)

"Sharon, you need not fly your car, right?" Dad chided.

What to do?

So off the car went flying across the road and bridge, with some sharp, ear-piercing screeches at the back Tyre. Fortunately, the weather was relatively cool or else I would be sweating like a pig by the time I finished driving. Cars and lorries whizzed past my car like lightning.

My father even said that I was too slow! (Hello, 50 km/hour already, okay? I am still a new driver!!! And, I don't want accidents!!!)

With sharp, scary twists, slope-climbings which almost sent the car sailing in the air, and some episodes of close-shaves, Phew! I was lucky to finish three rounds of driving, safe and sound.

To be serious, it was drop-dead exhausting! Despite seven hours of sweet slumber, tears welled up in my eyes when I was folding joss papers at home.

PAM!

I simply CAN'T believe this. I have actually napped for one and half hour...

To me, driving was really tiring. To my dad? No big deal!

"You newbies are always like that!!!"

A Legacy is gone...

I do not really listen to old songs, not until my English tuition teacher shared this meaningful song to us. I immediately fell in love with it!

It is Whitney Houston, who awed the world with her sultry and powerful vocals, and her regal image. She was dubbed as the "Queen of Pop" and was popular back in the mid 80's until the late 90's.

Her list of awards includes two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards, among a total of 415 career awards as of 2010. Houston was also one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide.

However, drugs and family problems took a toll on her career.

And she has finally breathed her last on 11 February 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Whitney, your music will be dearly missed, and your legacy will forever be in our hearts. R. I. P.

A Big Love To You 献给你的爱

Darling, I love you!

Ha ha. Actually, (and I've repeated uncountable times) I am hundred-percent single but unavailable. I have many boyfriends though. (Hey, what the Hell is this? You are single, yet you have many BOYFRIENDS??!!)

Well, my boyfriends are these: car, television, newspapers and joss papers. Boyfriends right? They accompany me all the time. It is just that they are silent and not living.

What I'm about to say yeah? Oh yes...

To start with, I will be sharing some great Valentine's poems for you., hmm, just to spread some love actually. I am dying for ideas to write poems after a year of not writing any! What's more, love poems. Sigh~

Amoroso

We have climbed the tall blue mountain,
to touch the eagle's wing,
Trekked the valley far below them,
to drink from crystal springs,

We have walked among the tall grasses,
through wildflowers we were lead,
They stood like noble kings and queens,
with crowns upon their heads,

The goldfinch and her family,
they kiss like you and I,
In the morning and come the evening,
they sing sweet lullabies,

I look back across the seasons,
thankful you were there,
To have wrapped my arms around you,
put ribbons in your hair,

If tomorrow holds my promise,
it will be to forever gaze into your eyes,
And dance with you forever,
in a land with no good-byes.

- Aubrey Keith Wilhoite -

A Special World

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

... and I Know It!

Okay, you might have known the song "Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO, which is widely aired on the radio. Personally, I like this electro-pop song, which actually got me dancing!

However, there are many other parodies on this song which made me laugh my guts out! Here are some of my particular favourites:

#1: New year and I Know It

Okay, I know that Chinese New Year was over. (The Chinese New Year celebration lasts for fifteen days) Yet, when it comes to watching videos, who actually CARES? Youtube does not restrict any particular videos to be played at any specific celebrations or whatsoever. You can watch Youtube videos... ANYTIME. Enjoy this!

Note: "Hu Xu" means beard.

#2: Smelly and I Know It

JJ and Ean, the two DJ's from the Hitz.fm Morning Crew made this super-hilarious parody! To me, their rap is totally epic FAIL, but that was why it was funny! Watch this and you will know why.

Note: "Lari" means run in Malay.

Get ready to laugh out loud! Good for health and slimming! ;)

I Heart Hello Kitty

What's going on these days? Oh no, the days were just dark and gloomy as usual. Every episode that fluttered across the calendar made me cry in my heart.

(Sharon, stop be pessimistic!!! )

However, there is something which I find kind of "back-to-the-past" This year. Malaysians who watch 8TV Chinese News, you will comprehend what is my post all about.

-Hello Kitty themed Restaurant, Beijing-

Oh my God! I would like to dine in this restaurant if possible! Watching this restaurant on the television is enough to beckon me to this. I am severely deficient of Vitamin M, though. Maybe, a decade or two later? I hope that by the time I go to Beijing, the restaurant is still open. According to the television report, too, that this new restaurant established last December has successfully drew thousands of curious customers and Hello Kitty fans there!

Here are some of the snapshots of this cute eatery, which I got from Google Images, of course.

Oh my God, It is just lovely...

Lessons: When venturing into any business, creativity and innovation counts.

-Is this a man, or Hello Kitty?

Watch this video for this special news on filial piety. (You have to understand both Mandarin and Hokkien language for this.)

If I were the man, I would not shave my head like that! :P

Here is the page on anything related to HELLO KITTY, which I liked recently.
